  William le Botiler was born on 8 September 1298. (Note 1 below) He wasthe son of William le Botiler, 1st Lord le Botiller [sic] and Beatrice(?). (Note 1 below) He married, firstly, Margaret FitzAlan, daughterof Richard Fitzalan, 8th Earl of Arundel and Alasia di Saluzzo.1 Hemarried, secondly, Joan de Sudeley, daughter of John de Sudeley, 2ndLord Sudeley and Eleanor de Scales, before 1355. (Note 2 below) Hedied in December 1361 at age 63. (Note 1 below)
  William le Botiler succeeded to the title of 2nd Lord Botiller [E.,1308] in 1334, de jure, although he was not summoned to Parliament.(Note 1 below)

  Several family genealogies report William Butler and his branch of thelineage.  Illustrative is the following.
  
  William Botiler, Birth 1296-09-08 [date differs from the Peerage info,which provides no location] in Wem, Shropshire, England Death 1361-12in Wem Oversley, Shropshire, England;  Parents William Butler1274-1335, Beatrea Butler Botiller 1278-1306.

  Note that the place of death is reported here as Wem Oversley,Shropshire.  As far as I have been able to determine, there is nolocation named Oversley in Shropshire.  Oversley is a locationWarwickshire, where some sources indicate the Butlers had connections. This place of death should thus be reported as Wem, unless we findalternative information indicating the place of death was Oversley,Warwickshire, instead.  The Peerage indicates birth and death at Wem.
