- Some lists and references spell the name of this person as Syntha.There is a grave in the Thurmond-Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Texas,for a Syntha A Green. The photo is so dark the details of dates areunreadable. Fairview is in Wise County, about 2 counties south andwest of Cooke County, where Syntha/Cynthia was enumerated in herfather's household. However, in the list of names from this cemetery,I find no entry for any Syntha, and the only Green is a Henry, statedto be the son of A G and M L Greenhttp://www.wisecountytexas.info/cemeteries/thurmond-fairinfo_.htm.
Further, an online collection of all the grave headstones from WiseCounty cemeteries lacks such a gravestone(http://www.wisecountytexas.info/cemeteries/g.htm). But I did findthe name listed in the plot designations for Thurmond-FairviewCemetery. There are, in fact, two women named Syntha in that list.The Syntha A is surnamed Reeves, but the base of the headstone isinscribed with the name Green. I cannot find a Reeves in the liststhat may be her husband, and in the plot list the next plot is forHenry Green. It seems most likely that this was Syntha Reeves, whomarried Henry Green.

It is reported that her daughter Elzie's death certificate reportsthat Cynthia was born in Texas, but the first census for this familyin 1860 reported 3-year-old Cyntha as born in Georgia, which I believeto be correct.
