Notes

• The 1850 Census reports Julia as 1 year old, which would indicate shehad already passed her first birthday.  The 1860 census reports herage as 12, which would indicate the birth year was possibly 1848.  In1870, the census reports her as age 21, which would correlate with1849.

  When using only the year number with no month, there could be an agedifference of up to two calendar years, depending on the date of thebirth and the date of the census.  I have reported the birth year as1849 and the year of marriage of her parents as 1848.  One or bothcould be one year earlier.
  
  The 1850 Census reports Julia born in Alabama, but the 1860 Censusreports her born in Tennessee, though the other children were born inAlabama.
  
  Henry and Rachel were married in Tennessee, so it is possible thefirst child, Julia, was born there, before the family moved toAlabama.  the last child, William, was also born in Tennessee.  Butthere are many errors and discrepancies on the Tennessee censuses overthe 1800s.  The censuses thus drop in authoritativeness.  On theseGregorys, however, we have few resources for information.
