Bernice's son Roger Louis informs us that her middle name was Edward.Bernice died in Memphis, Tennessee, where she had been living withLouis and Nancy, before being hospitalized due to an injury thenmoving to a rest home. The Social Security Death Index still showedher residential address as St. Charles, Arkansas.

I have not seen Bernice's published obituary. A summary of herobituary in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette was transcribed on RootsWeb. Note that this obit reports her death was in St Charles, Arkansas,while her son Roger tells me she died in Memphis, Tennessee. Herlongtime residence was St Charles.

"I went to get my mother for Christmas 1999. ... She lived with usuntil sometime in 2001, when she fell, hit her head, and never seemedthe same. She was admitted to the hospital and later transferred to anursing home until her death in February 2002."
