- After Peter Chrisitan's death, Elizabeth Long is still in Cass Countyin the 1900 census. She is head of a household, working a farm, withseveral in her household. Her single son, William Long, age 39, iswith her, working on the farm. Her widowed daughter Sue Tate, age 36,is living with them, as well as Sue's daughter, 9-year-old Cora. Alsoregistered in the same household and family is Ransom Giles, a25-year-old widowed black man, whose relationship is described asServant, and whose occupation is described as Farm Laborer.
The census reports that Elizabeth only bore two children.
