• Lewis/Louis Moore McSwain's first name is spelled variously bydifferent sources, and both ways in different entries in the HamrickData Pages.  Likewise his father's name is spelled variously indifferent sources.  On his death certificate the spelling Lewis isused.  His son George Pinkney McSwain was the informant.
  
  In 1860, this child was listed as Lewis M.  In 1870 he is calledMoore, clarifying that his name is Lewis/Louis Moore.

  In 1910, the head of the household is enumerated as their son Hugh.But since Hugh lived in Cleveland County, North Carolina, across theborder, in 1900, it appears that Hugh moved to his parents home afterhis wife Addie died.  In the 1920 census, Hugh's children enumeratedhere in 1910 are in the household of Lewis and Sarah in the sameCherokee Township, while Hugh and his new wife Lizzie Fulton areliving in Limestone Townhsip of Cherokee County.
