I have recently learned of a family history that states that SarahMorgan's husband, Charles S. Gibson was half Cherokee. The familyinformation that has been shared with me was testimony from (his son)John Marion Gibson's youngest daughter, who claimed her g-grandmotherGibson was a full blood Cherokee. She was specific about names, bothwhite and Indian, of parents, siblings, etc. ... We have noinformation that Charles tried to claim any Indian rights. Andunfortunately, the family history does not include any dates orlocations.
