Notes
- The date of birth on Edna's gravestone is 29 Jan 1876. A differentdate appears on the Delayed Certificate of Birth of her son RoyJackson Hayes, 29 Jan 1865. This would put her age closer to herhusband's. Hendrix was born in 1854, so even at the earlier date, hewould still be 11 years older than her. By the age on the gravestone,he is 22 years older than Edna.
Edna was a witness on the request and receipt of the DelayedCertificate of Birth, so it would seem she would have caught an errorin her birth date. But I would also wonder how the stonecutter couldmake such a gross error, and even more so why it would not have beencaught by the family and corrected.
